Phuket’s first and only Michelin-starred and Michelin Green Star-awarded restaurant, PRU, proudly marks its 9th anniversary. To celebrate nearly a decade of trailblazing sustainable fine dining, PRU will host an exclusive culinary collaboration with Bangkok’s one-Michelin-starred restaurant Mia on 1 November 2025, uniting esteemed chefs and unforgettable experiences. Guests are invited to indulge in specially curated lunch and dinner seatings, each promising a harmonious blend of culinary innovation, friendship, and Michelin-starred excellence.

This 9th anniversary celebrates PRU’s remarkable journey since its inception, highlighting 7 consecutive years of Michelin star recognition as an exceptional achievement in the competitive culinary world. The restaurant has maintained its stellar reputation through unwavering commitment to sustainable fine dining and culinary artistry, becoming a benchmark for excellence in Phuket’s gastronomic scene.

“Celebrating PRU’s 9th anniversary is a proud moment for us,” shares Chef Jimmy. “Out of these nine years, PRU has held a Michelin star for seven, and when adding Mia’s two Michelin-starred years, it beautifully adds up to another nine. It’s a symbolic connection that makes this collaboration even more special.”

 

Since being awarded its Michelin star in 2019, PRU has consistently delivered exceptional sustainable dining through its “Dine Good Do Good” philosophy. The restaurant’s celebrated open-theatre kitchen continues to showcase the transformation of rare and “hard-to-harvest” Thai ingredients into exquisite culinary compositions, offering guests not just a meal but an immersive dining experience.

 

 

“The collaboration with MIA comes with a friendship that I personally have built with Chef Top over the years. Our kitchen is an extension of our home, and this event is about welcoming guests into it. Chef Top’s Phuket roots and our shared love for local sourcing make this collaboration feel like the perfect way to celebrate.” Chef Jimmy Ophorst reflected.

 

 

Chef Top, honoured in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Asia list and deeply connected to Phuket, joins forces with Chef Michelle, whose expertise was refined at renowned establishments including Shangri-La Sydney and Pollen. Their partnership with PRU represents a convergence of culinary mastery and shared dedication to premium local sourcing.

 

“Our cuisines and concepts are very different, but this collaboration showcases how we can connect food through friendship, even though we have very different cuisines,” Chef Jimmy added. This anniversary celebration embodies PRU’s enduring commitment to excellence, bringing together two Michelin-starred kitchens for an unforgettable dining experience that blends culinary artistry with genuine friendship.

The exclusive event is scheduled for 1st November 2025, with lunch and dinner options available at 12:15 and 18:00. The price for this unparalleled experience starts at THB 4,500++ (Lunch) and THB 8,000++ (Dinner) per person.
