The Peninsula Hotels is delighted to announce the release of its annual Festive film, The Search for Santa, a heartwarming celebration of childhood wonder and determination, sibling connections, and the spirit of the festive season. Shot at The Peninsula London, the film invites viewers on a journey to discover the exceptional hospitality, for which The Peninsula is renowned, through the eyes of a child.

The film highlights what the festive season is all about creating magical moments and bringing joy to those we love most. It follows a spirited young girl on her quest to find Santa Claus at one of The Peninsula Hotels’ 12 iconic destinations, after a chance spotting across the properties. Enlisting the help of one of the iconic Peninsula Pages, together, they set off on a whimsical yet humorous adventure through the hotel.

This is the second annual festive film from The Peninsula, following last year’s film, Santa & The Peninsula London Save Christmas, which also featured a Peninsula Page as they set about London helping Santa deliver gifts in a signature Peninsula green 1960 Austin Taxi following the breakdown of Santa’s sleigh.

Created and produced by Petroleum & Co, alongside The Peninsula, the film begins in The Belgravia Suite, now transformed into the young girl’s very own Santa tracking detective headquarters. She’s pieced together Santa sightings across Peninsula properties globally on her clue board with ribbons, crayon drawings, pictures, and notes, in hopes of tracking him down. Teaming up with a Peninsula Page – and disguised as one herself – the two chase the whispers of green suits and bells through the corridors and kitchens of the hotel.

“At The Peninsula, we believe that the most meaningful luxury lies in creating those memorable moments that stay with our guests long after they leave,” said Carson Glover, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing and Communications. “The Search for Santa captures that spirit through the eyes of a child, reminding us that joy often comes from doing something special for someone else. It’s a playful yet poignant reflection of how our teams go above and beyond to craft experiences that feel personal, warm, and magical for all our guests, especially during the holidays.”

The film premiered to guests on the 18th of November, at The Peninsula London’s annual Festive Tree Lighting Ceremony. Then launching across The Peninsula Hotels’ website and social media channels, and YouTube.
The film’s wardrobe was generously provided by Valentino and Harvey Nichols for women’s styling, Trotters for childrenswear, and Huntsman for men’s tailoring, including the exquisite bespoke Santa Claus suit, which was crafted exclusively for The Peninsula London. Filming also took place at the historic Wellington Arch, made possible through the kind support of English Heritage.

This film comes as part of the unveil of The Peninsula’s wider collection of marvellous and time-honoured festive experiences. While this year’s guests will discover enticing new culinary offerings and pursuits across its properties, many of the hotels will reprise festivities that have long been treasured by Peninsula guests and their families.

Among the festive experiences specially designed for our youngest Peninsula guests this year are the Toy Hospital at The Peninsula Tokyo, rooftop ice-skating at The Peninsula Chicago’s Sky Rink, and daily screenings of classic Christmas films with treats at The Peninsula London’s private cinema. The offerings, among others, have become hallmarks for those that have come to consider The Peninsula a beloved home for the festive season.
