The Peninsula Hong Kong Unveils Autumn Programme and the Return of Sunset Cruises

The Peninsula Hong Kong Introduces Restorative New Autumn Programme Featuring Traditional Chinese Medicine

Offered at its award-winning The Peninsula Spa & Wellness Centre, the programme invites guests to harmonise their bodies, minds, and energy with the changing season.

For centuries, practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) have administered therapies meant to ensure the proper flow of vital energy and thus the health of the body and mind in alignment with the rhythms of nature. In keeping with this ancient discipline, The Peninsula Hong Kong has designed a special Autumn Restoration TCM Programme for its guests, which will be offered at the hotel from 15 September to 12 October 2025.

Conducted within the sanctuary of The Peninsula Spa & Wellness Centre, the programme includes a selection of four of TCM treatments meant to specifically address seasonal energy and health concerns. The treatments will be performed by Master TCM Therapists Tony Wu and James Zhang, who respectively hail from The Peninsula properties in Shanghai and Beijing and who together bring over 30 years of expertise in the traditional Chinese healing arts.

The programme offerings incorporate TCM’s time-honoured understanding of autumn as a time when the natural world’s yang energy recedes and yin energy flourishes. This seasonal shift often brings corresponding health challenges like lung irritation, weakened digestion, and low spirits; but by administering Tuina, Meridian Massage, Reflexology and Head and Shoulders Massage treatments, the TCM therapists can help to soothe and protect guests’ respiratory systems, fortify their digestion, and stimulate their yang energy for increased vigourand emotional balance.
