True to Helderburg’s philosophy as an elite design house and engineering firm, Rocco is not a restoration, a rebuild, or a collection of off-the-shelf components. The project respects the structural integrity of the original architecture while entirely re-imagining its capability for modern life. What the original engineers got right was preserved, the classic numbers-matching chassis and engine block remain. However, what modern roads demand, and what the family required of this specific commission, became the rigorous design brief for everything else.
“Rocco revealed itself to us the moment we took it out for its first drive,” said Paul Potratz, Founder of Helderburg. “When the client approached us with his son, we knew this couldn’t be just another project. The result is a vehicle that handles demanding mountain passes effortlessly and starts flawlessly in the dead of winter without ceremony.
